Getting Your Upholstery Clean Like a Pro

As a janitor and cleaner, one of the most frequent queries and subjects I encounter is how to clean upholstery. A valuable piece of furniture can be stressful to clean since you need to learn how to do it right or which cleaning solution to put on to avoid damaging it. In addition to advice on which cleaners to use, the procedure for cleaning them, and some extra ideas on getting things dry, Ara's Carpet Cleaning has some upholstery cleaning advice that will help reduce your concern about cleaning your furniture. Happy scrubbing in Tracy, CA!

Look at the Clean code

What is a clean code, you’re undoubtedly wondering. If so, you’re not the only one; most people don’t! On most furniture pieces, clean codes can be located on the tag. The lettered designation on them indicates the cleaning agent or solution to use on your piece of furniture.

Thoroughly Vacuum Your Piece

Over time, a lot of dust and debris can accumulate on your furniture. Before adding the cleaning product, removing as much of that dust and grime as possible is critical. The procedure will become considerably simpler as a result!

Decide on the Best Cleaner

Now that you know the clean code, selecting the proper cleaner is much simpler, but you may still need to decide whether to use a water-based or solvent-based cleaning on your furniture. One cup of water, one cup of rubbing alcohol, and a few drops of dawn dish soap are my recommendations for upholstery cleaning with water.

Purify and Extract

The magic happens right here. You get to give your upholstery an extraction and remove the ingrained dirt and filth from it. Spray the cleanser on your piece, then massage it with a brush or a towel to clean it.

I hope you like these suggestions! You and your family have a happy cleaning!
